Inside Davidson County
In-person early votes at each site, from the Davidson County Election Commission's daily report. The report counts only voters at polling sites. It leaves out mail ballots and votes at licensed facilities such as nursing homes, so its totals run below the state's count for Davidson; the gap is largest on day 1, when the state's count includes mail ballots that arrived before early voting began. These counts are also unofficial.
Votes at each site on each day of early voting. Darker cells mean more votes. The outlined column is the day you picked; blank columns are days still to come.

How to vote early
Early voting runs Wed. Oct. 14 through Thu. Oct. 29, Monday through Saturday. Election Day is Tue. Nov. 3.
During early voting you can vote at any early-voting site in your county; there are no assigned sites. Hours and locations vary by county. Look up your county's early-voting sites, your Election Day polling place and your sample ballot with the state's voter lookup.
Bring a photo ID issued by Tennessee or the federal government, such as a Tennessee driver license, a U.S. passport or a military ID. Student IDs and IDs from cities, counties or other states don't count.
Voting by mail is limited to voters who qualify, such as those 60 or older or away from their county for all of early voting and Election Day. Who qualifies and how to request a ballot.

About this data
These are unofficial early-vote counts. Counties report them to the state each day, they can be revised, and nothing is final until counties certify results after Election Day. Daily counts for every county come from the Tennessee Secretary of State, which posts each day's totals the next day. This page includes days through the latest day posted. The state's counts include in-person early votes, mail ballots received and votes at licensed facilities.
The 2022 and 2018 midterm figures come from the Secretary of State's daily comparison reports for the Nov. 8, 2022 election, which list each county's cumulative early vote after each day of early voting in 2022 and 2018. Votes on a single day are the change from the day before. The elections are matched by day of early voting: day 1 is the first day of early voting in each year (Oct. 14, 2026; Oct. 19, 2022; Oct. 17, 2018). Each period had 14 voting days, with voting Monday through Saturday. All years are Secretary of State counts, which include mail ballots received; the day-1 figure in each year includes mail ballots that arrived before early voting began.
“Share of 2022 total” divides a county's 2026 early votes so far by its entire 2022 early vote. The movers chart leaves out counties with fewer than 1,000 early votes across the two years, where small numbers make percentages swing.
The Inside Davidson County section uses the Davidson County Election Commission's daily report, which counts in-person votes at each early-voting site and leaves out mail ballots and licensed-facility votes. The "mail and other ballots" figure is an estimate: the state's Davidson total minus the county's site total through the same day. These counts are also unofficial.
